The Hodson Trust


The Hodson Trust in conjunction with Hood College, Johns Hopkins University, St. Johns College and Washington College are pleased to offer this 100% scholarship to veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan conflict. Visit their webpage or call (302) 429-9427 for details.


Veterans of the Afghanistan and Iraq Conflict Scholarship


This Scholarship program covers 50% of annual tuition, fees, and room & board. It may be used for the service member, thier spouse, sons and daughters who are attending a Maryland post secondary institution. For more information visti their website.


The National Guard Association of Maryland Scholarship


This is a scholarship grant of up to $1000 available to guardsmen and their family members. For more information goto their website.

The Fund for Veterans' Education


The Fund for Veterans' Education will provide scholarships to help meet the cost associated with higher education for veterans from all branches of the United States Armed Forces who served in Afghanistan or Iraq since September 11, 2001 and who are now enrolled in college or vocational-technical school. Scholarships are a great way to ease the financial burden of going to school. Especially for military members and their families. Keep these facts in mind:


Deadines


You can only apply for a scholarship up until the deadlines for that semester, after that you'll have to wait until the next semester


Benefits


Receiving a scholarship may change the amount of Tuition Assistance benefits you are able to utilize for that semester. Remember, 100% is the maximum.

Fairleigh Dickinson University has decided to lower its tuition rate to $250/per credit (exactly what your FTA will cover).


Capitol College is giving 1/2 price tuition to Guard members. Service members may still use their other benefits to cover the other 50%


Touro University International Offers a miitary discount program that reduces the cost to exactly what FTA will cover
